Yup! It's meat that's been dried and seasoned. It keeps for a long time and it's really tasty, too! I always used to have a bunch with me whenever I went traveling back home.

Ah- remember that one story we read, about the hunter princess who was smoking deer meat? She was turning it into jerky!

That's a big change for you, huh? I know a princess back home who's pretty great too, though I've met some other nobles who aren't so great. I like the stories about the nice nobles also.

Very different, yes! Pardon my... rudeness... but nobles from home were very, um. Very terrible!

But I would like to hear the nice stories; I love nice stories!

Don't worry about it, you're not being rude. Everybody's got they're own experiences.

But, since we're in agreement about not being fond of unkind nobles, we'll just have to stick to the stories about the good ones. Sound good?
